Dear mom,

Last night I didn’t cry but I dreamt in Spanish which was weird because I don’t know all the Spanish words. When I woke up I remembered like, all the Spanish words that I knew but couldn’t find in my brain. When I didn’t know a word I would make one up, like, if I wanted to say, ”What is your Email Address?” and I didn’t know how to say address I would say “Que es tu Email adreo?” But it didn’t only happen in my dream but also out loud.

Sometimes in my head I’m thinking in Spanish then I’m translating it to English. When I was talking to Haley I started talking in Spanish, well, kind of, I would make up words like I did in my dream, if I didn’t know them in Spanish.

Sometimes I briefly forgot words in English and it’s good in Mexico but not good in California and I hope that doesn’t last long in California.

At school we learned about adding unlike fractions. (AGAIN) But I didn’t complain, and neither did anybody else. We did little origami things and here is some Butterflies (scan to come). My teacher’s name is Mrs. Gloria. Becky and Alejandra are living with her. She is very nice and told me how to do a lot of origami things.

At recess everybody went up to us and asked us questions. A few of the questions were: What is your name? (in Spanish) How do you say house in English? To keep from drowning in Mexican kids you had to keep walking and you couldn’t sit down or else you would be bombarded with “?”

We also did a tour of two church-like places. One of them would look like this from a bird’s-eye-view: (drawing)
